Questions
- How much weight can a 48x40 pallet hold?Roughly 5,000–7,000 lb static, 2,500–3,000 lb dynamic, and 2,000–2,800 lb racked for a typical wood 48x40. These are general ranges — the real figure depends on the build, and custom pallets can be made to a specific rating.
- What is the difference between static and dynamic load?Static is the weight a pallet holds sitting still on the floor; dynamic is the weight it holds while being moved. Dynamic is lower, and racking (edge-supported) capacity is lower still.
- Can you build a pallet for a heavy load?Yes. Custom pallets can be engineered to a target capacity — send the weight, how it will be handled, and whether it will be racked.
- Does a used pallet hold less than a new one?It can. Wear and prior repairs reduce capacity, so for heavy or racked loads tell us the weight and we will match the right grade or build new.
